- THE TAANA 30TH ANNIVERSARY ANNUAL MEETING & EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE WAS ANOTHER GREAT SUCCESS
- Thank you to those individuals who attended this year's conference. The conference planning committee did a wonderful job providing the right mix of educational learning, networking opportunities and sightseeing in beautiful Seattle. We also had the opportunity to incorporate technology into the conference when one of our speakers was too ill to travel to Seattle. Randi Kopf was able to present her talk and advance her PowerPoint slides using WebEx conferencing capabilities.

TAANA FOUNDATION AWARDTAANA FOUNDATION COMMUNITY GRANT
-
Since 2004 ,the TAANA Foundation has chosen a community service agency in the locality of the Annual Conference as recipient of a grant in recognition of services provided to that area’s vulnerable population.
The TAANA Foundation is proud to recognize the SEATTLE CANCER CARE ALLIANCE (SCCA) as the 2011 recipient of this grant. The SCCA is a cancer treatment center that treated nearly 5000 patients in 2010. All of those patients, regardless of insurance coverage or financial situation, had access to the latest cancer treatments including drugs and alternative treatments under investigation. SCCA provided more than $9 million in uncompensated care. SCCA aims to customize each patient’s course of treatment to match diagnosis and personal circumstances to reach the goal of turning cancer patients into cancer survivors.
